Cascata Earns Spot in Top-100 Courses in United States

Cascata’s award-winning track gives our players a Las Vegas golf experience unlike anything else and our friends at Golfweek have taken notice – for good reason. Cascata was recently named to the publication’s “Top-100 You Can Play” list (No. 77 in the United States) as well as the No. 2 course in the Silver State – a huge honor considering the competition. Here are five things that helped Cascata earn Golfweek’s top honors.

Widely known as “The Open Doctor” for his ability to transform otherwise benign sites into incredible golf landscapes, Rees Jones, Cascata’s designer and one of the most decorated architects of the 20th century, pulled out all the stops by turning a bone-dry desert into an oasis of golf beauty. Jones routed holes through the deep canyons and between spectacular dunes so each hole is different, rewarding and certainly memorable. And in true Rees Jones fashion, Cascata was designed to be challenging yet fair, proving — in Jones’ words — Cascata is “the 8th wonder of the golfing world.”

You won’t find a single under-maintained golf course in the top 50, let alone the top-10. But to take the No. 2 spot in Golfweek’s best, you have to be perfect. Every inch of Cascata is meticulously maintained and boasts absolutely immaculate conditions regardless of season. Rain, shine, tidal wave, doesn’t matter — Cascata will always be in perfect shape.

From the time they come through the front gate to the time they leave, Cascata’s guests will be treated to the level of customer service fitting of a world-class golf experience. Whether it’s personalized lockers, skilled and attentive forecaddies, exceptional dining – both on the golf course and in the restaurant – polite and conscientious staff members who know the game or an overall extraordinary ambience, our guests won’t find customer service quite like ours anywhere else in the world.

When the world’s best players like Tiger Woods, Gary Woodland, Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson want to get a little better, they seek out the advice and counsel of none other than Butch Harmon. And at Cascata, you can do the same. The Butch Harmon School of Golf is located at Cascata’s sister course Rio Secco Golf Club and 18-hole playing lessons at Cascata are included with the School’s instruction packages which range from single-day to three-day excursions into the deepest realms of golf instruction and knowledge.

Part of what makes Las Vegas, Nevada a world-class golf destination is the unbridled beauty of the surrounding Desert. The natural sloping landscapes, incredible plants and wildlife and storybook sunsets aren’t found anywhere else in the world. But all too often, you’ll find Vegas fairways lined with buildings and casinos. Not at Cascata. The only distractions at Cascata are the waterfalls for which the course is named.
